EDITORS MESSAGE
We have many fantastic new titles to share with you this year, including, from my list, Dear John: Love and Loyalty in Wartime America by Susan Carruthers, which is part of our Military, War, and Society in Modern American History
series edited by Beth Bailey and Andrew Preston. Pulp Vietnam: War and Gender in Cold War Men’s Adventure Magazines by Gregory Daddis and The Regime Change Consensus: Iraq in American Politics by Joseph Stieb are also part of this dynamic series. Amanda Demmer’s After Saigon’s Fall: Refugees and US-Vietnamese Relations (Cambridge Studies in US Foreign Relations) is another highlight. Take advantage of our 30% discount offer for new and backlist titles and please do contact me if you’d like to discuss your book project ([email protected]).
Other highlights include our prize-winning titles For King and Country by Heather Jones and The Austro-Hungarian Army and the First World War by Graydon Tunstall which were co-winners of the World War One Historical Association’s Norman B. Tomlinson, Jr., Prize with Anna Maguire’s Contact Zones of the First World War being awarded an Honourable Mention. We also have new books in our Cambridge Military Histories series from Thomas Henriksen on America's Wars and Karl Hack on The Malayan Emergency and essential new introductions to war and strategy in Colonel Geoffrey Weiss’s The New Art of War and the revised and updated paperback edition of Donald Stoker’s Why America Loses Wars. I will be attending the conference in-person and will look forward to seeing you there and discussing book projects which might fit the Cambridge list. Michael Watson ([email protected]).
We look forward to seeing you again at future conferences.
