An Introduction to the Cambridge Latin Course

Over the past 50 years, the Cambridge School Classics project has been refining and developing the world’s leading Latin program, the Cambridge Latin Course. The course immerses students in the language and culture of the Roman Empire, and has them reading Latin from the very first page. Through our digital learning platform, students can access dramatizations of stories, documentaries that enhance the cultural themes, and interactive language activities to check understanding.

"My teaching continues to evolve in a positive way every time I attend a Cambridge training. The excellent trainers and teacher trainers consistently provide insight into techniques for making the most of the curriculum. Trainers are knowledgable about both the Cambridge curriculum as well as current trends and topics in Latin pedagogy and are skilled at integrating the two." • forging strong links with teachers and learners
    • advancing the pedagogy of Classics teaching through research and development
    • creating high quality, innovative teaching materials based on research and development
    • exploiting new technologies to reach out to new audiences and create cutting-edge materials
