About the Authors
  • This series, initiated under the general editorship of the late H. P. R. Finberg, comprises eight volumes covering the agrarian history of England and Wales from the Neolithic period to the time of publication. The volumes were published between 1967 and 2000. It was not just a synthesis of existing knowledge, although full account has been taken of earlier work. The national archives have been extensively researched, while the manuscript deposits in various offices - a vast source - have been freely tapped.
