First published in 1913, this is the third edition of an 1898 original. It describes the history of Spain, from the unification of the crowns of Aragon and Castile in the fifteenth century, which laid the foundations for modern Spain, up until the reign of Charles III in the late eighteenth century. The chapters are ordered chronologically and each one is devoted to a monarch, detailing the key events in their reign. This is a highly informative book that will be of value to anyone with an interest in Spanish history and historiography.
