Cambridge University Press receives multiple honours at 2015 PROSE Awards
At the recent PROSE Awards which took place in Washington DC Cambridge University Press was recognised with 19 awards for excellence in publishing.
The PROSE awards are held annually by the Association of American Publishers (AAP). Their Professional & Scholarly Publishing Division use the awards to recognise works of publishing excellence. This year saw Cambridge University Press receive a fantastic 19 awards across multiple categories, the most recognition we have ever received.
Of the six ‘best of’ PROSE awards, Cambridge University Press came away with three Awards for Excellence; in Humanities for The Material Life of Roman Slaves by Sandra R. Joshel and Lauren Hackworth Petersen, in Physical Sciences & Mathematics for Atlas of Meteorites by Monica Grady, Giovanni Pratesi and Vanni Moggi Cecch, and in Reference Works for The Cambridge History of the First World War edited by Jay Winter.
Cambridge University Press also received first place honours in a further six categories; Earth Science, Multivolume/Humanities & Social Sciences, Philosophy, Psychology, Single Volume/Science and Theology & Religious Studies, and an additional nine Honourable mentions.
