  • Originally published in 1918, this book contains an annotated edition of the poems of William Cartwright (1611–43) as arranged in the order in which they appear in the 1651 edition of his works. Goffin prefaces the collection with an autobiography of Cartwright that sets him in the context of his time. This book will be of value to anyone with an interest in English literature and pre-Civil War poetry.
