Another successful year at the annual BMA Awards

It was yet another year of winning for Cambridge University Press at the 2017 British Medical Association Book Awards. Many authors and editors were in attendance, alongside colleagues from editorial and marketing, at the glitzy BMA House ceremony.

Returning to Work in Anaesthesia (Plunkett/Johnson/Pierson) scooped the opening award of the night – First Prize in Anaesthesia. The judges called it “A succinct, engaging reference” and stated that “In my opinion this book fills a gap in the market…I would wholeheartedly recommend this text.”

Modern Soft Tissue Pathology (Miettinen) was our other award winner, taking home First Prize in Pathology. An excellent judges review described this book as “well-rounded”, “easy to read and understand” and “exceptionally helpful”.

Whilst our First Edition books were winning the prizes, we also had five new editions of classic books earning ‘Highly Commended’ certificates. All in all another great year for Cambridge at the BMAs, and we look forward to winning more awards next year!
